To help support the upcoming release of Quentin Tarantino’s latest project Django Unchained, The Weinstein Company and Red Bull sought to create an interactive digital campaign that could tie in the creativity of Tarantino’s film making and Red Bull’s brand value of “giving wings.”
Being that Quentin Tarantino is a master story teller it only made sense to create a campaign revolving around telling a story. Drawing upon the influence of Spaghetti Westerns, participants were giving clips from the original ‘Django’ film, clips from the upcoming release of ‘Django Unchained’ as well as music from the Red Bull Records rosters of artists for them to create a three minute short film. The top submissions would be judged by Quentin Tarantino himself, with the winner getting a chance to meet him in person in San Diego at Comic Con.
